So if you saw my post last Friday you can see that I only reviewed the first episode of the series and now I've had time to sit and watch the whole first season, which sounds pretty daunting but to be honest is only six episodes.
First things first, watch this show. Like I said before it's only six episodes but it's really powerful stuff. The premise of the show Cleverman, gets turned around from what you think it is by the character in this case, Waru, the older brother who appears to be the better brother to inherit the Cleverman title may not be.
This is probably what made me come back and watch more and more episodes. You get to see the not-so-great person Coen, become a good person, and someone you thought was a great person, Waru, become slowly corrupted by his own ambitions.
The acting is great and the writing is pretty good even if the villain of the show is a bit of a cartoon character and the overall scheme that he hatches seems a little bit mad scientist. That's not to say some tragic things happen to him though, and since the last episode ended on a cliffhanger I don't really know if he is going to get what is coming to him.
That's a good thing though, short and sweet, the show left me wanting more and I have to say I'm went online and found out the show was renewed for another season some I cannot wait to see what happens to the characters and the world they inhabit.
Cleverman Season 1 is now streaming on Netflix
