I finally finished Uncharted 4: A Thieves End on Sunday and while I liked the game, and the series overall I ran into a problem.
I died a lot at the end.
Like I said I really enjoyed the game and some of it could be because I'm bad at video games, but some of it could be fatigue. You know when you hit a wall of skill with anything in life and you have to either regroup so you can finish a project or take a break so you don't break something? That's where I was at with Uncharted 4.
Some of it could be that this is the fourth on in the series. I know, Naughty Dog is a great developer and they make great games, and there is a level of polish with this game that is just amazing, but I think there were far too many puzzles, and quick time events and things that really got in the way of a great finale for Nathan Drake and company.
And this brings me to the end. When you have done all the puzzles, gone through all the cut scenes and been to many exciting countries sometimes you just want something to end. I think the boss battle at the end of the game was unnecessary and it took away my enjoyment for the game.
Again, I may just be really bad at video games, but I do seem to think that the flow of the story, especially a finale should be more important then the old boss fight. Or I could just be wrong.
