No Man's Sky is being released in a month and I am really looking forward to it. I have seen very little game play and have tried to read as little about it as possible. I will admit that's pretty hard to do with all of the info available.
The other side of the coin is that I really enjoy hearing about the development team and their Managing Director, Sean Murray, seems like a really interesting guy. Together with his team of developers (15 people total) they could pull off something really amazing.
I've done this before though. I get totally hyped for something and then totally let down. I just realized though that I am the one to blame for this though. I get stuck in this hype cycle and I just can't seem to get out of it. I have started to realize that hype is a form of stress. I need to stop stressing myself out.
I try to remind myself that I play games for fun and that everything I do should be for fun. I need to get off the hype train and just calm down a bit. Maybe then I could enjoy my hobby every once and a while.
