Morning Star is the last book in the Red Rising Trilogy written by Pierce Brown. And I have to say, what an end. As I said i my last review of Golden Son it ended on a cliffhanger and I immediately had to pick up the last book and start reading it.
It amazes me again how every action flow into the next even in the final novel. I feel like the mechanization's that the character went through were natural and everything concluded in an incredible end. So, I guess I am here waiting for another one.
Mr. Brown gave an interview were he said that there will be another series of books in this world. One were the people in the novel will rule and not conquer. The idea fascinates me, not because I thought the novels were great and unique, I did, I have always wondered about how society picks up the pieces and rebuilds again after revolution.
Was Morning Star good? Yes, and I guess it passed the ultimate test: Making me want more from the series. I suppose that's a good a place as any to have your novel leave off. Well that and having me say Gorydamn all the time now.
So I suppose we wait a little bit more for the next in the series and see where Darrow and his friends and family go from here on. I'll be first to buy the next novel, staying up late again to finish it for a review.
Morning Star is out now digitally and at bookstores in Hardcover.
