The man with the poison story ends in a tragic way. And it seems that Ogami Itto and Retsudo are about to have their final confrontation. This is all a feint though and it seems that both men will have to live to fight another day.
As the two men confront each other for what seems like the last time, Ogami has the a man for him make dynamite that is water proof. This is so Diagoro can defend himself and if he is to die then so be it. This also holds the last of Retsudo's army at bay so that Ogami and Retsudo can duel.
But the poisoner that was helping out Retsudo earlier now betrays him and goes to the flood gates at Edo and in an act of revenge opens them to direct the waters toward Edo when they have had record rains. This would cause the capital to flood and an untold amount of loss of life.
Retsudo and Ogami put their swords down and using the dynamite that Ogami was using to stop the flow of the water and divert the flood. Because of this each man is separated and now they are trying to get to one another to resume the final duel.
This was a great issue although, I feel a bit cheated that Ogami and Retsudo did not duel for the last time it was still a good enough excuse to get them to assist Edo. I'll have to keep reading to see how their final confrontation goes.
